If we look carefully at what the Pilates exercises can do for us, we find that they could:
- Improve concentration.
- Increase the range of motion in the hips and shoulders.
- Strengthening the abs, hips, base, trunk and back.
- Increase flexibility.
- To improve the stability of the shoulders, hips, trunk and the rear base
These points lead to a better golf swing and car:
- With improved stability, you can hit the ball without the body to collapse or twisting.
- Improved core strength and stability of the hip should enable more rapid rotation, which is equivalent to hit the ball harder.
- Improves concentration, allowing you to ignore the distractions.
- Improved endurance allows you to play a more cohesive and longer without becoming fatigued.
- The muscle imbalances, which may affect the shoulders, back, hips, arms and legs have returned to normal, allowing your body to function as it was designed for.
- There’s less risk of injury, because of improved endurance, strength and flexibility.
To be fair, Pilates has been specifically designed to help improve your golf game! But with a little added Golf specific exercises (anything that could easily design Pilates), the Pilates can not only improve your performance, but also to enjoy the game.
So, to cut to the hunt, if I play golf I would certainly consider taking up Pilates! Not only would it improve my game, but more importantly in my view, it would significantly reduce the chances of avoiding some of the most common injuries suffered by golfers, such as pain back, hips, arms and shoulders . Trust me - at my age, I need all the help I can get!
