Yoga and Yoga exercises are on the whole fairly static, they are focusing more on the rest, stretching and holding static poses for a period of time. Before receiving hate mail on this subject I would like to say that I am not knocking yoga, while highlighting certain differences between Pilates and yoga.

Pilates, in contrast, involves a series of exercises carried out in various positions, such as standing, and sitting on their hands and knees. These exercises are designed specifically to work your heart strong and supporting muscles, teaching them to move freely and correctly and rebalancing your entire body. Each exercise is taken only to the extent that an individual can go without pain, and each exercise is repeated 8 -10 once. Make every shot perfectly correct is our goal! Each exercise is done with the watchwords of control, centering, precision, circulation and respiration Flowing. Pilates aims to strengthen the abdominal muscles, improve strength, correct posture and realign your spine. It’s like getting tracking fixed on your car. And the wheels rebalanced.

Both Pilates and yoga to relax, invigorate and strengthen you. If I have a grumble about yoga is just a few more shots - and take challenging the spine in extreme positions, where Pilates concentrates on the correction of imbalances and the strengthening postural you from the inside , which makes it ideal for people with back problems for Yoga which would be inappropriate.

So, the difference between Yoga and Pilates is that they are different! I like Pilates, but then I would I do? All I can say is that people who like ships as Yoga Pilates …. Both are holistic and require both mental and physical involvement. Try them both and make your own opinion!
